Happy Birthday (belated for the twins, on time for me)

Can you believe they are 2 years old now? I get reminded every time they say "NO!". But really, they are SO much fun now. They are now able to repeat words that you ask them to say. And get this... they sometimes will say "Thank You" without us even having to ask... Whoo hooo!!!

The biggest achievement lately is that the pacifiers are gone! Hurray. Perhaps that will reduce the orthodontia bill 14 years from now.

They've started to run around on their strider bikes - soon they will ask for the car keys.

The plans this year are to drive down to Southern CA for the week before x-mas.

They are growing up fast. We are getting to practice "time-out" quite a bit. Tyler has learned the word NO and now knows when to use it to push Mommy's and Daddy's buttons. Good times!

I had my good buddy Brent and his family stay with us for about a month. We went to several places that we hadn't been to. We will be visiting Hood River for the self pick fruit again next year. It is silly that we had to have out-of-town guests show us the places to visit. Anyone else want to come visit?

The kids have started daycare and therefore have become walking petri-dishes. Who knew you need to learn how to sniffle. You've gotta love those long green buggers. My shoulder sometimes resembles a sidewalk after a short rain fall when all the snails and slugs come out and leave long slimy trials. The worst was when they both had ear infections at the same time, and in addition to that, Tyler had the Croup. What an awful sound that is. It seems the worst is done for now. Hopefully the exposure to some of the 120 or so rhinoviruses will help them build an immunity when they start school.

Hi all,

I'd have to say that this age is starting to be a lot of fun. Those first six months... WOW! At this age they run after you, mimic you, come running when you come home, and play all the time. They have the best time together. Perhaps now is when we were told that twins became easier than 1, as they now have a play date and learn to interact and share all the time. Occasionally there is a fight or two when one thinks the other has the better toy. Watch out for Kristina as she will grab your head from behind and pull you down.... time-out time!

Tyler and Kristina are signing away. They seem to sign more when they are outside. Which is cool because other people are impressed that they can communicate so early. Check your PBS TV schedule on Sunday's at 7:30am and you can learn to sign too by watching "Signing Time".

When we take them to the park, their personalities come out. Kristina kinda stands aside and kid-watches for a while before jumping into the play area. Tyler runs off and starts climbing on everything. He just loves to see our reaction while he is standing up, dangles his foot over a 5 foot ladder, and acts like he is trying to climb down. Careful buddy, that first step is a doozy. Once Kristina starts playing, that's when we get our exercise; cycling them through the slide and just following them as they run around.

Hello all from the Vincent Family!! We almost missed our one month posting.
Yesterday the twins turned 15 mos. For those keeping track: Kristina weighs 25lbs 3oz while Tyler weighs 23lbs 3oz. They are growing up fast. So far feeding them has not been much of an issue. They are eating whatever we eat so no more baby food puree's. This makes Mommy's job a whole lot easier. Another thing that makes things easier is the fact that Kristina is signing more and more and has begun asking for things she wants.
As you can see from the photos, feeding time is not a clean time. It is a good thing they still love to squeal and play in the bathtub. They go straight from the dinner table to the tub to story time and finally to bed. Our days are pretty much set in routine from the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed. Favorite activities: going for a walk in our red wagon, eating, playing tug of war with the little dog, and getting into things we are not supposed to (see above)
I just joined a local mom's support and play date group. I am looking forward to the first outing next week.
We've been having freakish weather - it SNOWED in late March. What kind of spring is this turning out to be? At least the tulips are trying to bloom and the daffodils are past blooming. It almost reminds me of the snow falling on poppies in the Wizard of Oz.
All four of us are battling colds. The kids have runny noses all the time and are a little more fussy than usual. The parents seem to be the most sick, who are juggling work, home, and sick babies. Now, if only I could find the source of the bug ... Gramm does not seem to be affected, thank goodness

Hi all. I'll just make a quick note as it is late.

The kids are now both walking! Kristina can now use sign language to ask for more, eat, dog, and sometimes mama and grandma.

Their faces have really grown up. Now that Kristina is on the move, her pudgy cheeks are slimming down.

I hope all is going well... Life is sure full now.
Both Tyler and Kristina have started to test some boundaries. We see many timeouts in the future.
