34 weeks 4 days: 12 pounds of baby!

Hi all,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well darn, it looks like I don't get the tax benefits for 2006 - oh well ;)

Amy had her last doctor appointment on last Friday. All is going extremely well! Tyler is 5 lbs 12 oz and Kristina is 6 lbs. By today they are probably over 12 pounds of baby - ouch. The swelling in the legs has continued and is getting pretty bad. She can't wear shoes now. Today the swelling has spread beyond her knees and into her thighs.

The C-section date is set for Jan 25th! However both Amy and I believe it will happen before then. Place your bets!!!

I hope you all have a good 2007; I know I will.

32 weeks 5days: Bed rest almost OVER!

Hi everyone.

I hope all are doing well and enjoying the holiday season. This past weekend we setup our first Christmas tree; and it is a real one too! Since we can't go anywhere, Christmas will be at the Vincent house. Our 2006 Christmas letter is posted on our website.

Amy is a real trooper. We had a little scare last night. For the third time, she had tremendous heart burn. This time it was enough to make her topple to the ground in pain. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the kind doctor gave us permission to take some more Zantac and get some PepsidAC handy. An hour later, all was OK. WHEW!

Amy's swelling continues to be an issue. I call her "my puff dragon" to account for both the swelling and the CRAZY snoring she has been unleashing while she sleeps, and sometimes while she is awake; if you can believe that. I've been forced into the guest bedroom to get a solid night sleep. I suppose I should get as much sleep as I can now, while I still can.

Our last visit to the doctor was last Friday. He said once we get past week 34, the best rest can stop! Although she won't be able to get around much, it will be nice to leave the house for dinner and a movie. Looks like we won't have to sell our Portland Broadway tickets to see "Spelling Bee". He also mentioned that we should start looking at a date on when the c-section should take place. Sometime between week 38-39... Can anyone guess the significance of that week?

Happy Holidays to you ALL!
Jason

30 weeks 3days: 3.4 and 3.5 lbs

Hi all!

We made it passed 30 weeks! Our doctor is so pleased that we have made it passed the danger zone. The twins are on a healthy path to a normal birth - as normal as a twin birth can be. We will be choosing a c-section date soon. Most likely it will be between week 36 and 37. That would make the delivery date between Jan 10 and Jan 17.

Gifts are still coming in the mail. Thank you so much!

This weekend I plan on working on the nursery to get some shelves installed in the closet and get things organized. I'm willing to take suggestions on things that have "saved the day" while raising a child.

Amy is dong well. She is feeling guilty as she sits on her fanny while I work around the house and answer every call for help. It's about time... hehe... just kidding. It is actually really nice to have something other than work and Tivo to worry about.

C ya,
Jason

After 13 inches of rain for November, we had small snow storm.
